Do your kids do this?

Emma finds items like rocks and leaves or empty candy boxes things like that and makes art out of them. My other girls don't do it and I don't remember doing anything like that when I was a kid. I was curious if any of your kids do this or if you know of any other kids that do this? I think it's cute. Most recently she took a rock and a big leaf she found at the nursery and made a crane out of it and gave it to my mom.

Memorial Day

We decided to head to the beach for our day off. We went to Cannon Beach and started off the day by hiking at Ecola State Park. Then we had a picnic, went in to town for some coffee and ice cream, then played in the sand for awhile. It was beautiful weather, scenery, and a great day with family.

Emma's 6th Birthday

We celebrated Emma's 6th birthday recently. We spent an hour swimming at a local pool and then ended the party by eating cake and opening gifts. She had a great day with her friends.

Mothers Day

Yesterday was an especially nice mothers day. I woke up and got showered with cards, gifts, and lots of love by the girls. Justin cleaned the house while I got ready to go. Then we picked up Justin's mom and went out to lunch, then went to the Oregon Garden in Silverton, which was absolutely beautiful. It was a perfect day to spend outside. I feel very blessed to have my children. They are very thoughtful and caring and even though motherhood is hard and even disappointing sometimes, it is still one of the biggest blessings in life and probably the most rewarding job one can have.

First time fisher girls

I went to the beach to spend some quality time with my high school girls Fri and Sat so Justin decided he would spend some quality time with his girls by taking them fishing for the first time. They had a great day together and a lot of fun. Emma caught the big catch of the day, a 16" trout! That night they went to Nana and Papa's and BBQ'd and ate their catch. Addy sat this one out but got to spend the day planting flowers with Nana & Papa. What was really funny was that we went out to Chinese the day after and Emma's fortune was "you will go fishing and your catch will be plentiful".

Birthday Girl

Yup! Emma turns 6 today! She was SO excited to be 6! I made these butterfly cookies for her class today because they just 'hatched' butterflies and Emma wants butterflies for her birthday present! She also wore a butterfly shirt and belt to school today.
Happy Birthday Dear Emma!
